Chris Mac started his audio career in 1988 when he joined the BBC as a Studio Manager in Broadcasting House London..but he had been playing about with sound for years before that. Ever since he was a kid he had been facinated with his uncles NAGRA, his dads collegues shotgun mic and shorting his transister radio so he could connect the oscilator to the speaker and use it to generate tones. During his studen years he and his flatmate spent hours multi tracking , flanging and phasing using two cassette machines
Chris joined the BBC in 1988 and was lucky enough to progress very quickly to the 'eliete' group 2 where he worked on music for Radio 1 and 2 as well as live & pre-recorded outside broadcasts, the famous "Peel Sessions" as well as doc's and studio shows.
He then went to Jungle Studios where he made many award winning adverts...and is still in the all time top ten for Radio adverts. He also mixed a variety of YV shows, including "The Thick of It"
In 2011 Chris went freelance. Since then he has had a fantastic mix of Radio, Film TV and consultancey. He now has all the kit required to do radio recordings and his own post studio in Rickmansworth which is 5.1 capable for film or TV
