Equipment

Studio

I run Pro ToolsUltimate in my 5.1 studio with PMC monitors with a large collection of plug ins, including Waves suite, Izotope RX7 Advanced, Vocalign and Ediload. Pro Tools is controlled by Avid Dock and 2 Avid S1 controllers giving 17 faders and a massive amount of control using the  touch screens, which creates a smooth and efficient workflow. I/O is managed by a Scarlet 18i20.

Mobile Studio

I have a mobile set up that I have used to edit in offices and on location for TV or radio. It consists of a MacBook Pro, Scarlet 2i2, Genelec Monitors extra video monitor, and a full suite of plug ins and can even be transported on the tube!

Remote Recording

Since the start of the global pandemic I have offered multitrack remote recording facilities where I manage the recording, supply equipment and  guide artists through the technical process. I also offer a remote editing package where I connect to producers, sharing ProTools audio and video and conversing , almost as if we were in the studio together!

Location Recording

I can do location recording using Zoom F8 (digital multitrack)  and a wide variety of mics (including radio mics) for small scale jobs. For Larger/theatre/club jobs I have a 32 channel Digital mixer (X32) with a 50 meter remote stage box. I have a couple of MacBook pros to manage multi track recordings and playing in clips and music/fx, as well as PPM's and foldback monitors

Audience Recording

Since the Covid 19 lockdown and restrictions on public gathering, I and a few colleagues offer an audience recording service where we record upto several hundred 'nodes' of audience and edit and mix them for shows. We are able to do quick turnarounds for topical comedy  shows like the Now Show, where we record the show and audience the day before TX
